Thank you for taking the time to visit my site, my name is Ben and I've been a tech geek for most of my life. I'm a recent college graduate and have a bachelor degree in Computer Networking (Administration, Engineer, and Security). The world of technology fascinates me and I love using it, learning about it, and writing about it. I've always wanted to try my hand at web development by creating my own web site so this site is the reality of that dream.

 

The goal of the site is to help people make wise decisions when it comes to computers and tech. We are surrounded by so much tech gadgets in our lives that it's helpful to have a guiding light on what's actually good and what's currently going on in the industry right now. The site focuses on two passions of mine computers/tablets and low self-discharge rechargeable batteries (I will later add a detailed PC Hardware section). Both of these items can make your life easier and more enjoyable. The tablet, laptop, and battery section will have detailed info on the best products available in each of those categories with detailed history and spec comparisons.

 

I try to be as unbiased as possible but nobody is totally unbiased (we all have preconceived notions based on our past experiences). Any new tech item I write about gets a fair analysis to the best of my ability (I try to point out the good and the bad, no matter who makes it). I do use Apple products from time to time being an owner of a MacBook Air and iPad mini. I understand there are cheaper options and respect those who don't use Apple products due to their price, as I was mostly against Apple for awhile. I got a MacBook Air a few years back to gain experience with OS X and really loved that machine. Since then I've enjoyed using various Apple products. I am a long time Windows user and, besides my MacBook Air, all my computers run Windows. I try to gain experience with various platforms which is important in my line of work.

 

Some of my hobbies include building/repairing computers, hobby RC cars, low self-discharge rechargeable batteries, off-roading with my ATV, tweaking my car, spending time with family/friends, and tinkering with just about anything. I've had various experience with a lot of different platforms. The current desktop operating systems I'm using include Windows 7 (DVR HTPC), Windows 8.1 (Main PC), and OS X 10.9 Mavericks (MacBook Air 13.3" 2013).
